The United States is seeking to exchange nearly 50 military aircraft in exchange for Uzbekistan and Tajikistan’s support in counterterrorism operations in neighboring Afghanistan,reports Politico.

The U.S. is negotiating with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to trade nearly 50 military aircraft evacuated from Afghanistan last year as part of a withdrawal of U.S. counterterrorism support, a report said, citing two people familiar with the talks.
