Ambassador: Iran informed Azerbaijan about military training

Iranian Ambassador Seyed Abbas Mousavi clarified the issue about military training conducted by his country on the border with Azerbaijan.

The ambassador told journalists that Iran informed Azerbaijan about military training.

“We informed fraternal Azerbaijan about these military exercises. They were aware of this training, which is conducted for the sake of peace,” Mousavi said.

The ambassador also answered the question that Iranian officials often made statements in favor of Armenia: “This is not a matter of Iran’s support for any side, but only a matter of Iran’s long-term strategic interests. We express our position within the framework of our interests,” the diplomat stated.
