{"id":1522,"date":"2022-08-31T12:20:51","date_gmt":"2022-08-31T08:20:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polise.az\/en\/?p=1522"},"modified":"2022-08-31T12:20:52","modified_gmt":"2022-08-31T08:20:52","slug":"who-places-asia-director-on-leave-after-accusations-of-bullying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/polise.az\/en\/who-places-asia-director-on-leave-after-accusations-of-bullying\/","title":{"rendered":"WHO places Asia director on leave after accusations of bullying."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Reuters<\/a> reports A senior World Health Organization director has been placed on leave, a spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday, following staff accusations of bullying and other complaints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The Regional Director for the Western Pacific Region, Dr Takeshi Kasai, is on leave,&#8221; a WHO official said in emailed comments, without giving details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two WHO sources confirmed to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Reuters<\/a>\u00a0that the decision to place Kasai, a physician from Japan who has worked at the body for more than 15 years, on administrative leave was related to an ongoing investigation into various staff complaints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kasai was not immediately available for comment.
