Russia claims Kyiv poisoned its troops in Ukraine.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday that Ukraine poisoned some of its troops in the Zaporizhzhia region last month, as a toxic substance was detected in their blood after they were brought to the hospital on July 31.

“On the fact of chemical terrorism sanctioned by the [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky regime, Russia is preparing supporting evidence with the results of all the analyses,” the ministry noted in a statement. However, Kiev rejected the accusations claiming that the Russian forces were poisoned by eating expired canned meat.”The ministry doesn’t clarify whether the poisoning could have been caused by expired canned meat, in which botulinum toxin is often found,” Ukrainian official Anton Gerashchenko argued in a Telegram post.
